Intro
Welcome to the PASHLI website. "Pashli" is a Russian word meaning "Let's Go", and conveys our desire to get going to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in disadvantaged areas of the world.
We want to make a difference to economically deprived people, who live in extreme poverty, despite the fact that their country is on the doorstep of, or even in the European Union. We want to make a difference by improving the living conditions and social opportunities of orphaned/neglected children and the neglected elderly.
We have been to Vilejka, Belarus for around 16 years up to 2019 working with kids in an orphanage there. From 2024 we started working with a wonderful couple who foster children in Cekiske, Lithuania. We have been building them a new home for the kids and in 2025 stared work on a halfway house for those leaving a local detention centre for teenage girls.

To improve their living conditions and expand educational and social opportunities.
Events
Depending on the time of year...
A group of volunteers will go to Lithuania in April/May time to carry out essential building works there and run kids camps.
Shoeboxes filled with goodies will be collected in Ireland to be shipped to the elderly in Lithuania.
